Off to San Diego for the ASHA Convention
Tomorrow morning I am off to the ASHA (American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association) Convention in San Diego. It's basically a mizture of seminars, posters, papers, presentations and an exhibit hall with over a hundred vendors. I remember in Grad School the professors always looked forward to it (and we did too because it meant no classes). I hope it's fun, although the image above is a little questionable. Below are some things I hope to accomplish on my trip.
1.) Attend the Food and Wine Festival
2.) Learn more about the needs of students with Cerebral Palsy
3.) Learn more about dysphagia treatment
4.) Hit up a beach (to see the Pacific Ocean)
5.) Visit a bar called Bubs???
6.) Score some free pencils
7.) Go to Balboa Park and/or Coronado
8.) Visit the Zoo
9.) Network with more Speech Language Pathologists
10.) Buy something San Diego-y
Other than that I don't have too much in mind. Let's see what we accomplish.
